The first thing you need to do is to dress for the battle.
Put on your helmet of salvation, shield of faith, breastplate of
righteousness. Shod your feet with the preparation of the
gospel, and take your sword which is the word of God.
The bible tells us that God’s people perish for lack of
knowledge. It’s important to read the word to stay
equipped. You may have to pull out the word at any time.
You may need to stand on the word at any given moment.
Faith. You need to know that God is going to do what He
says that He is going to do. You need to live holy. You need
to seek after righteousness. You need to live like Jesus is
coming back any moment. You need to want to live a life that
is pleasing to God. It is a straight and narrow path. It is a
life of practicing humility. It is knowing how to be abased
and knowing how to abound.
You need to be born again. The helmet of salvation is being
covered in the blood of Jesus. Eating of his flesh and
drinking of his blood. Being born again. Saved. When you
find yourself backed into a corner, back up against the wall,
humiliated, depressed, disgusted; take out your sword and
say devil, “you are a liar”. My bible does not say that I would
be conquered. It says that I am more than a conquerer.
Fight that unseen and seen negative influence in the spirit.
The weapons of our warfare are not carnal, they are not flesh
and blood, but spiritual, mighty through God to the pulling
down of strongholds.
The devil is already whipped. You just need to learn how to
become skilled in fighting negative influences trusting God,
operating in faith and standing on God’s word.
